Beep Beep Beep!

Roll out of bed and look at the calendar.

Stomach knotted and heart pounding                            

                     Today is the day!

Healthy breakfast,

                 Ugh, too nervous to eat.

Teeth brushed and hair styled,

                     Perfect outfit set.

Check my folder, Valentine ready.

         Pack my backpack,

                     Ok, I’m rea…

Oh no! Nervous Belly!

Okay, now I’m ready.

Hop on the bus,

         Getting closer and closer.

                     Foot tapping faster and faster.

Walk in,

         Eyes closed,

                     Take a deep breath.

Hands shaking,

         Place the Valentine on Quinn’s desk,

                     And rush back to mine.

Now I wait…

Will Quinn smile or not?

Either way, I AM BRAVE!
